Is there any good reason I shouldn't put a metal cooling rack under my laptop when using the laptop? - cooler rack for trailer

I have a cold shelf, normally used in the kitchen for cooling baked goods and put it under my laptop, because one of the little rubber feet fell and lost. This allows air and spread them across the machine. Is there any reason I am of course aware that this is not a good idea? If so, what should I use to achieve the same goal?
